I'm terribly sad and a little emotionally overwhelmed. I can't even properly describe the sadness I feel. My MIL is...how do I say this? She's at the end of her journey with cancer. It's in her brain now as well as throughout her body. She is in hospice now and dh is with his immediate family while I'm here at home with the kids.
Angry. Upset. Sad. Scared. Hurt. Feeling Useless.
Yep.

I am so sorry Jessica. This is never easy. Praying for your family.
Hi Jessica,
Praying for you and yours. I lost my db to cancer 3 years ago. Didn't get to say goodbye the way I wanted to, because dh was afraid db would linger and he'd have to use up all his vacation at the deathbed vigil. I was worn out, so I went home with him. Db died the next day, and boy, was dsil upset that we had left. It wasn't until the next year that I was able to feel better about this--God allowed me to say goodbye in the most wonderful way to a dear friend who was also struggling with cancer. Her death was amazing and as beautiful as death can be (still yucky, but blessed, if ykwim).
I hope your mixed feelings will resolve, and I will hold you in prayer. Don't worry about feeling useless. You are supporting your husband and allowing him to grieve, by relieving him of the care of the kids, and by empathizing with his pain at the loss of his mom.
Hang in there.
Love,
Chris in vA
Experience tells me that no words can ease your pain. Hugs and prayers for her and you.

I am so sorry to hear this, I am praying for you and your family at this sad time xxxxxxxxxx
Praying for you and your family. I am sure it helps your husband focus on the tasks at hand knowing that is wife is taking care of the home and the children. Your purposes are still being fulfilled even when you may not feel like it. Blessings!
I've been lead to pray for her more in the last two weeks.
I will continue to pray for you all.
{{{{Hugs}}}}},
Linda
((Jessica)) Our prayers are with you.
