New Surroundings

We previewed the place before it is ready. The kids will have twin beds, the question that we're contemplating is putting them in the same bedroom and using the larger bedroom as the learning room. The smaller bedroom would house the twin beds on the floor or we could stack them because are actually a bunk bed set. We're still considering this situation and the final decision probably won't be until we're there.

There are a lot of changes that will happen. We're getting new furniture too, which will be very nice. The house is smaller than what we have now, the size didn't translate well in the photos. The backyard is only grass, completely bare.

We didn't want to leave. We'll be there in a few weeks and as soon as the church buys a parsonage, we'll be moving again which could be in a year or less. Change is good.

Love the looks of the living room! You'll use your creative abilities and make it very comfortable for your family. It'll be "home" soon. Can't wait to see the new school room pics!

I have the same dilemma - put all the kids in one room and have a family closet/art room, or separate them?

Good luck with the move! I don't get to see my new house until the day we move in - that should be fun for the movers (which are my dh and his best friend, LOL!)

What a nice home! Even if it is the transitional... Ihope you can get a more permanent ( as permanent as it can be) house sooner than later...

Love ya,Lisa

If you can make bunkbeds, I'd do that! My girls and my boys have bunkbeds...plus one boy still in a crib in the boys' room. My children don't have dressers -- they each have a canvas shoe holder that hangs in the closet. 10 slots right on top of each other. Plus they each have open plastic bins (2 or 3 "shelves" w/ a lip to keep things in, sorry I'm not better at describing). This has worked nicely so far...dresser space is used for bookcases or well, beds! :)

I'm so glad you're excited! I'm excited, too. :)
