In the curriculum, days 1, 3, 5 have new concepts being introduced while days 2 and 4 are just reinforcement of the concepts learned on days 1, 3, and 5. I started planning out 5 days of preschool but quickly realized this would not work with our Field Trip Friday. So do I want 3 or 4 days of preschool for Danny a week?

I want to keep the same concepts in a week and not introduce new ones especially on the last day of the week so we will use days 1, 3, and either 2 or 4 as the 3rd day for a 3 day preschool week. Of course, the concepts will be a part of his normal day too on the 4th day.Decisions, decisions...

I would keep the same number of days a week that you use for your dd. Once your ds gets started, he'll likely insist on doing school the days your dd does.
ReplyDeleteI also would not skip lessons. Even though new material is introduced only on days 1, 3, and 5, this program is very meaty and advanced compared to other Pre-K curriculum that I've previewed. So if you do lessons 1, 2, 3, 4 week 1, just do lessons 5, 6, 7, 8 week 2.
Book 2 is learning to form numbers/letters and simple addition/subtraction.
I like the 3 day, atleast for starting out. good luck!
