Tuesday's Adventures

In Alabama...

One room schoolroom.
1890's Farmhouse and garden

How cool is this!!!

Real log cabin

Spider we saw along the trails

In Georgia...
We visited this covered bridge and found an amazing creek with little waterfalls. We explored this area but since it was at the end of our day we decided to come back later and explore more. I wish I would have known about this bridge and creek last year so we could have been exploring all along. Sigh. A beautiful day and too much to tell for a tired Mama.

Tomorrow we're going to two state parks, more awesome pictures to come.
These are the days...

  1. I can't get over how TALL D looks. he is such a handsome boy! Is he often mistaken for an older child, or have my itty bitty children just biased my age-guessing abilities?

I would never guess him to be a 3-year-old. He rides a bike! He is a marvel of a child! My boys loved watching him ride in circles. YAY D!!!!!

  2. What a great homeschool adventure! I'm in Georgia too! What part of Alabama is that? Is that a big tree trunk?

  4. That tree is really neat! I'm looking forward to seeing all of your adventures this week. That's a great idea to take a week to see all the great things nearby before moving. Enjoy!

  5. Looks like fun. That tree ring timeline is great!

The house we used to live in before we moved was 50 years older than that farmhouse! Yikes!

  7. My family lives in Alabama. Born and raised on land owned since before AL became a state. I think you were within about 30 minutes of them (if I have your location correct). Man, I miss it.
